Wonderful Asian Restaurant

Very good food. Good sushi selection. The fatty tuna was to die for. Fruity cocktail.what else can a girl ask for.

They position themselves as a luxurious exclusive place but this is not so. Just show off. Food was very usual for restaurant with michelen prices. I expected more but I liked absolutely nothing

Aw man, surprisingly delicious. And not just that, staff super friendly and extra shoutout to the bartenders as they are really cool, attentive and knowledgeable about what the choose food wise and drink wise. One note, guys it’s ok to offer tap water it will not cannibalize your sale of spirits. We didn’t even get to the main courses, it was all about the bites. Ok, so let me give you some tips, you will not be disappointed. Ask for: scallops with truffle, crispy rice with tuna, temaki with crispy duck, and gyoza with wagyu and foie gras. Man, you’re in heaven with this. Like a good white wine? Excellent go for the Verdejo, that is if you’re after a white wine with some oomph. Not cheap, but damn good.

Easily the most overrated restaurant in all of Amsterdam—came here for a special evening with my wife. We ordered a mushroom dish that was so terrible that we sent it back. An eel dish that was chewy—not melt in your mouth tasty as well should be. The sushi was forgettable. Service was great tho—but when I compare this to other high quality Japanese restaurants I’ve been to, Izakaya is easily the worst.
