October 18, 2018I go to Vivolo regularly because my wife and I have friends who won't go anywhere else. Frankly the food is good...but just good- the service, likewise is just good enough. The atmosphere, however, is that of an old folks home. I don't believe anyone in that restaurant ins under the age of 70. I come out of there feeling like Dementia is right around the corner. Though no youngster myself, I am a college professor and being around young people keeps me 20 years younger. Vivolo from where I just came, has put me in an awful mood. Tomorrow I'll go to a restaurant like Jacob's Pickles on the Upper West Side and I'll feel human again.

October 5, 2018I was on a professional trip to NYC and was desperately looking for some decent dining options. One of my co-workers took me to this place. Prices were so moderate that we ordered wine and side dishes along with the main course. The food and drink was awesome and so was their service. Next time when I am here, I will visit this place again. Thanks!

August 18, 2018I went here last night with a friend for dinner. Overall it was a positive experience. She ordered 2 appetizers (Burrata and Rolled Eggplant) and I ordered the Pappardelle. The burrata was very fresh and I could taste the milk in it. The rolled eggplant tasted greasy and very fried. The cheese stuffing was good but I couldn't get past the deep fried taste. My pappardelle was fantastic. Noodles were cooked just right, I love the variety of mushrooms they used and the dish overall was not too salty. We looked at the desserts menu but nothing jumped out as being particularly special at the $9 price. The first two things were a pound cake and chocolate cake and the second two were tiramisu and cannoli (neither of which I liked). The service was exceptional and the ambiance was romantic and intimate, great for a date. We sat on the second floor where they had group seating and towards the end of our meal it got to be quite loud and crowded.I would love to come back here to tr

August 11, 2018We went for lunch, two families with a bunch of youngish kids. The servers were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious - the eggplant parmesan was perfect! And I found it reasonably priced, for the quality. Highly recommend and would love to go again!

July 18, 2018In honor of the year the restaurant opened in 1977, try the 3 course prix fixe for $19.77. One of the best deals on the Upper East Side.

June 9, 2018Friday night is always date night with my wife Stella we chose this place out of the blue and it turned out to be a gem. Jesus the waiter was a gentleman and it looks like we’re gonna be back. The food was mild and well prepared and well presented. Remember when you go on a date it’s always about the date and the food and wine second. Nevertheless it was excellent. Happy Stella here’s to a great month. As stella say we are in the scorpio month, which over rules EVERY other sign
