Village Smithy Restaurant

This is a great little breakfast spot in the Carbondale area.They have been around since 1975 and they are still going strong.The wait is long but it is definitely worth it. The food and service was fantastic and we will definitely return anytime we are in Carbondale.

They hit it out of the park every time we get the opportunity to come here! We always try something new and it’s always delicious! Breakfast enchiladas today and they were perfect.

We loved it here so much that we came back twice during our 6 days in Carbondale. Delicious and generous breakfast portions, fast and friendly service, and overall great local vibe. We had Rodrigo as our server twice and he was so kind and efficient. He took the time to sit with us and play with our son Oscar. It was a pleasure to meet someone who is so genuine and finds gratitude in his day job. We are grateful for Rodrigo and the wonderful food and people at Village Smithy and hope to come back again some day!

Really good friendly staff and great food

Lots of food that was all quite good. Wonderful location downtown, and our server Tia was delightful, professional, and attentive. So pleasant.

Best breakfast place in town. You'll have a wait in the summer but well worth it. An absolute staple in the community.

Do not go on a Sunday. It took them 50 minutes to seat us, and an additional 50 minutes to get our food! We ordered right away and we still waited for 50 minutes to eat. I enjoy this place- the atmosphere and food are fantastic.. It is so fun to sit out on the adorable patio. The waiter did an excellent job- was very friendly and attentive, and even made sure to stop by our table to apologize for the wait and that the kitchen was working on our food. This is a local gem so definitely check it out, but try to avoid Sundays, or expect a long dining experience.

You cannot go wrong eating here!! Really, you cant! Get there early though they are popular, so if you have to wait just know its well worth it. :)

Great place!!! Had a fantastic breakfast here and highly recommend. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was outstanding.
