Fantastic brunch especially the shakshuka. Great blues performers on Saturday brunch like Tevis Hodges Jr. makes this place one of a kind.

This was my first time in the Lamp. The food and service were wonderful. It was cleans and had a great vibe to the place. I will be back with friends.

I've been going to the Lamp for a long time. It's a hidden gem in one of the last 'old Portland' neighborhoods, Brooklyn. It was pretty good before, but recently it has changed management and remodeled, and now it is GREAT. The old menu was tasty bar food, but it was feeling a little tired and lacking in a few departments. The new food is excellent and thoughtfully prepared; and Presley smokes a mean cut of meat. The quality and atmosphere have both increased, what was good is now great. If you work within a mile of this place, really consider it for a clutch lunch spot.

Great, friendly service that was super helpful about trading orders and bringing the check very quick. This is, of course, very appreciated when you're trying to grab a bite or a drink right before a show. The food was serviceable pub food with a pretty eclectic menu.If you're seeing a show at the Aladdin, this is a great spot to stop in beforehand. (Plus you can get your wristband ahead of time and stand in a much shorter line! )

Used to eat here sometimes, it was pretty basic bar food. Just had a salad with chicken and things have most definitely changed for the better. Fresh veg and moist chicken with a proper crunch. Dank. Coming back again.

Totally authentic Old School Portland Place which definitely draws working-class neighborhood people and hipsters. We went here for Burger Week and the burger was thin but the Char was tasty. We looked over at other people eating their extravagantly Sauced Middle Eastern fries and said my oh my, we are going to come back here for this![edit] i came back for what can best be described as middle eastern dairy free "nachos" except on fries and it was awesome. very well made components delicious together.
