Thai Country cooking! Delicious! Staff is super friendly, my waiter Pete was just lovely, food was amazing, we had the pick 2 and got the red rice. Not overpriced. I’m not a fan of Hell’s Kitchen area but for this restaurant and the food I will go back a thousand time! 100 % recommended!

Absolutely delicious take out. So thankful that this local favorite is able and willing to provide such great comfort food during these times, when it's really what so many of us need. The tumeric chicken curry warmed my heart. Highly recommend now for take out, and can't wait to go back in person when it's safe to go out again. Please support this restaurant if you can!

Fun, enjoyable meal. Most dishes were decent to good. Nothing outstanding but all in all a good time and I’d come back again if I were in the neighborhood. I think the Thai omelette was everyone’s clear favorite. Also enjoyed the Pork with string beans and curry chicken. Everything was surprisingly not spicy. Mackerel was a bit dry. Atmosphere is very casual and relaxed and comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Mice clean Thai restaurant, friendly staff and a simple menu. I am not an expert on Thai food but I would say it's very authentic. They have good serving size and if you are going with a few people all can share dishes. I felt lunch menu is a little on the high side with $16 for 2 so you are looking at approx $22 for lunch including tax and tip. They don't have wok's so no Pad Thai! Seating was more of a bench style so you won't be staying too long. All in all, if you like Thai food and want authentic experience, give this place a shot.

Amazing Thai. Food is very diverse and and 2 for 20 makes you try many dishes which is wonderful. Great for 4 people you try 8 dishes ! Everything was super good, but most were spicy so ask if you are sensitive. One of the best and interesting Thai places I've been in NY.

I really loved the concept of this restaurant, how you could choose two smaller items and get it with rice. I got the turmeric curry chicken and the 5 spice pork stew and enjoyed both so much! As someone who comes from Southeast Asia and is always looking for something that reminds me of where I am from, this place hits the spot! Would definitely recommend.

Had lunch here with friends. I like the idea of being able to pick 2 dishes for one order and share... however some of the dishes were not good that good. The menu says “mackerel” but The fish they served was not mackerel.

Lively Thai restaurant addition focusing on more traditional Thai dishes. Pick two dishes from the plentiful menu, which come with rice, for the price of $16 or $18. Food comes out fresh, delicious, and flavorful! Hospitality and service are beyond exceptional, with staff checking in frequently throughout the meal, filling up my glass. I had questions about the menu, and business hours, and all staff were patient and gracious to answer in detail. Hands down! A fabulous experience!

Great any-two-dish-for-$20 menu, so you can easily try many different dishes in one go! Food wise, it's labeled as countryside Thai food, which simply means the preparation and ingredients are never too complex. This, however, does not mean that the food is tasteless. On my first visit, I tried some of my usual Thai picks: pad prik king (wok fried pork with string bean), fried mackerel, the crab curry, and morning glory. On the whole, the food is quite authentic and definitely hit the spot for me as someone who loves Thai food. I am, however, a bit disappointed that the taste is a bit toned down to accommodate a broad range of audience and would have preferred the flavor to be bolder and stronger. For anyone who is wishing to try a different type of Thai food that you probably won't find in the heart of BKK, I would still recommend Taladwat.
