We adopted our name from the word “Sumer” – the first urban civilization in the historical region of southern Mesopotamia, modern-day southern Iraq. Deriving inspiration the rich food culture of Middle East, we strive to bring about a one-of-its-kind of experience in New York through our various delicacies, served with love. We take immense pride in the quality of our food. We only serve our guests with freshly prepared food and 100% halal meat. November 24, 2018IMO, Sumer is hands down the best Middle Eastern restaurant in Syracuse. The food here is always delicious. I've been ordering delivery here (GrubHub all the way) for a couple years and finally decided to have dinner at the restaurant. It's not fancy but definitely cozy. Owners/employees are very friendly and the servings are even larger than the delivery portions. That said the food is definitely the star of the show here and I recommend that everyone try it out.
