Alborz was always a great part of the dining scene on Center St., and I’m happy to see them back, now on the corner of Oxford and Allston. The tah dig, the crispy rice dish, is on the appetizer list, but I enjoyed it as my entree. It comes with your choice of stew, and all the stews have meat, but the server was able to tell me which stews can be made meatless and was happy to accommodate me. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The fesenjoon, which we had with chicken, is one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. Reminiscent of a Oaxacan mole. The kashk bodemjan and tah dig both had wonderful flavors. Come hungry.

I was in town for the night on business, and met up with a friend. While we were walking around town, we saw this place and decided to give it a go! It was awesome! The service was so good. Everyone was so nice and accommodating! The food was absolutely delicious! The space was very nice, and welcoming. I will definitely come back if I am I’m town again!

I am so happy they have decided to come back to Berkeley! I came here last night with my husband and had a really good meal. The food came out hot and portions were generous. They also have lots of seating for many guest. The service was excellent the night we came. They also have QR code when paying for your meal. Just scan and use your iPay account. Technology these days... The only issue is parking since it’s so close to campus but that is to be expected.

Though the service was very nice and the seating was comfortable, the prawns/shrimp that I had ordered were very dry and had virtually no flavor. The presentation was lovely but the food was not great. I asked the waitress for some sauce...and she brought over a yogurt-based kind of dip....which helped a bit....but my main course was disappointing. There are many lamb dishes on the menu and I do not eat lamb...so, I doubt that I will return to this restaurant.
