You can never go wrong with going to Sangria in Mahwah! Whether it's the tapas or ordering an entree this place is great. Don't skip the drinks either! Their home made sangria is to die for in any of their many varieties. We have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed it and we will always be back

Food was good and pretty authentic for Bergen County. The drink selection was great and a large variety of Spanish wines. I got a drink with sangria and tequila and it was really tasty!!

First time here. I'm from out of town and wanted to find a tapas restaurant and this place was fantastic. The service, the food and wine, was unreal. what a great dinner I'll be back here as soon as possible!

Sangria is an absolute go-to restaurant for delicious Spanish food. The customer service is welcoming. The food comes out quickly. The paella is made fresh. Reservations are definitely recommended. The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there’s sufficient parking. My recommendations are all of the empanadas, the red wine sangria, all of the paellas, and the chocolate lava cake dessert.

The service is great, and the food tasty. I like the pork chop, octopus salad, and paella in particular. The octopus slices are most tender. Tip: if you order the pork chop, check whether it is adequately cooked. Ours was pink in the middle. When we informed the waiter about the situation, he insisted that the chef had done so intentionally to keep the pork moist. Nevertheless, he took the remaining food back to the kitchen to cook it adequately.

Found this place online and choose it sight unseen. Were (wrongly) a little worried about the strip mall location... Our own prejudice. We made reservations for opening time, and laughed that we did not need to. WRONG! the place was packed before we left with a couple large groups and several tables with families. The staff was friendly and attentive, the selection was extensive, and food was delicious. Be sure to stop here if you are in the area.
