The Salt Cellar Restaurant is known for having the largest and finest selection of quality seafood. Open for dinner 7 days a week, the Bar from 4PM-12AM and the Dining Room at 5PM. Our twin Happy Hours are from 4PM-7PM and again from 10PM to 12M.

We went to the Salt Cellar to celebrate a special occasion. I started with the escargot stuffed mushroom caps. They were good but I thought the escargot were a little tough. My friend had the clam chowder which was very good. Our entrees came with a mixed salad and they were excellent. My friend had the sautéed sea scallops, she loved them. Our friends both had lobster; one was stuffed. Both were very good. I had the bone in swordfish. I had been warned that the meat around the bone could be quite strong and it was. I probably would order something different next time. Our service was very good.

I love the Salt Cellar- Phoenix's only literally underground restaurant. Their seafood is stellar, the baked stuffed lobster is one of a kind, and when they have their Nantucket scallops I go nuts for them- and I hate scallops! Those little buggers are so buttery & sweet, I could eat them every day! Definitely a special occasion place, as their prices are high, but you pay for the quality and top notch service.

Ambiance and service are what you expect from a finer restaurant; the staff are courteous and go above and beyond to fulfill reasonable requests. The food is well-prepared and flavorful. However, for the prices you pay, the food isn't spectacular. I feel like you could get this quality and selection from another fine-dining seafood restaurant that doesn't charge as much. Not sure if this restaurant is located in Tempe or Scottsdale, but you are definitely paying North Scottsdale prices. If you're in the area, and feel like good-quality seafood, stop in. But don't go out of your way.

Delicious Seafood and great service! I had the best salmon I've had in my life. When you arrive you may wonder if you're in the right place, but the restaurant is actually a cellar...its all underground!

We had a marvelous delicious experience and would definitely be back however coming in since your recent reopening I was very surprised at how almost none of the staff we're wearing masks. Given the most likely transmission is through airborne droplets when people are talking and the proximity of the staff to the customers this concerns me. I am aware of your other multi faceted safety precautions but I feel that the masks are by far the most important. I hope this helps 😊. We hope you stay in business many more years.

There are no words to say how wonderful this place is. The food was mouth watering. Courtney was our waitress, she was very busy with us and other customers but still managed to make sure our service was tip top and she did it with a spectacular attitude and smile. I will request her every time.

Sea food was fresh and very tasty. I asked if I could have my Salmon blackened. No problem. Side dishes pretty fair. Couscous could have had more spice. Service was excellent. All was very good but I found prices a little high.

The last time we ate here was in 1985... well that was a mistake because this place is amazing! The food the service and the atmosphere all add up to a fabulous evening out. We loved how quiet the place was so you could really sit and enjoy a conversation. I had the salmon Oscar it was simply delightful and very filling. My husband had the Ahi tuna lightly seared, he said it was cooked to perfection! Your meal includes a dinner salad, veggies and a starch. A quality meal at a very good price. This is an adult restaurant I don’t recommend children, it’s they type of place you linger and enjoy 😊

Service was great. The seafood was a little rubbery and was almost cold when served. We had lobster and crab leg. Ive heard great things about this restaurant and I was expecting the seafood to taste better. It could have been a random one time thing. Was expensive, dinner and drinks for 2 was $250.00

Our first time in Scottsdale, heard about this place and wanted to try it. Unique with the restaurant being underground, the seafood being fresh! Our server Wendy was fantastic, patient, friendly, knowledgeable! Our cocktail waitress Colette was also friendly and attentive! We had escargot, crab cakes, king crab legs, and, best of all, soft shell crab. The Maryland soft shell crab is seasonal, and we were fortunate to partake in this yummy entree. It was a Monday evening, not crowded, not rushed. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff, the food. We'll certainly return on our next trip to Scottsdale. Thank you!
