Wow! Chef Rolando was great he prepared a ton of dishes and a selection of great appetizers for us. This was a pickup but understand that you can order by doordash. Located in Adams Morgan the place offers fine dining and small plates at the bar. I can’t wait until we can go back and eat in. Authentic Italian dishes and fresh ingredients made for a great experience. Thanks Chef Rolando!!!

I’ve been a fan of the owners of Al Volo for a while now (they are catering our wedding). Really enjoy the new concept. Went there tonight for the first time. Small plates are well executed and well priced. Very knowledgeable wine staff. Highly recommend.

Yesterday evening my husband and I had a very pleasant experience at Retrobottega. Unis (hopefully I’m spelling this correctly), the manager, is very nice and knowledgeable, and Marcelo, our waiter from Paraguay, was very polite and fun, and made great recommendations from the menu: the crunchy/very tasty arancini and the delicious caprese salad to start, and the oaxtail lasagna as main entree. Amazing, home-made but sophisticated Italian delicacies! We’re definitely coming back to try the fried polenta, steak and gnochi. While this restaurant just opened two months ago, it already has great reviews and there was a long line at 8 pm, so make your reservations in advance. I usually don’t have the time to write restaurant reviews, but this one did it for us. :)
