June 9, 2017My food was really good. Despite some of the negative reviews, I gave it a try and I was impressed. I ordered to much thinking that my plate would not be enough, but it was just enough to be content. I had the stew chicken and it was surprisingly nice and tender. I will order again in the future.

June 20, 2016This was a surprisingly great find! I was visiting Hampton University and was looking for a place to eat lunch. Found this place through Maps and very glad I did. I haven't had Caribbean food since I lived in Miami. I had the jerk pork with yellow rice and plantains. Most of the pork pieces were on the dry, over cooked side but they had good flavor. The rice was very good and the plantains were excellent! I will definitely be going back to try other dishes. What impressed me to come back other than the food was the fact that the place was a revolving door of people. The few tables they had were occupied but by the time people got their food a table was available. A lot of the food was for take out so people were coming and going on a regular basis. The amount of people that flowed through there made me realize that just because some of my pork pieces were dry didn't mean the rest of the menu would be the same.

April 23, 2016Some of their food is good but I can't figure this place out. Their menu is so random and so are their hours. I called today which it says they open at 8 am to ask about breakfast and they said they're not serving breakfast this week and they'll be opening at 10:30 am the entire week. Who randomly changes their hours and menu?! I like this place because it's close but I'll be driving to Newport News for more reliable Jamaican food restaurants.

February 15, 2016I love goat curry. Like, it's up there with beer being yummy ya dig? Their goat is terrific! Few bones, but plenty of meat. Their yellow rice is good and dry which soaks up all that wonderful curry!!! Their plantains could use a little help, but they're certainly not bad. Great lunch place for CHEAP.
