New Heights Restaurant

Great food and drinks. Sat at the Gin Bar, Yaw the bartender was outstanding. Recommended some gins, was not disappointed.

Amazing food, great service, and their gin fusions were fantastic. Shame the place is not more popular.

One of my favorite restaurants in the district! Make a reservation on OpenTable, and go early. I've eaten here twice, and both times got there between 6pm and 6:30pm. The downstairs is a bar, and it's always hopping. Go up the stairs, and find the restaurant space which is cozy, nice, and wonderfully quiet! The staff and owner take a personal interest in the guests, and you'll see quite a lot of people at your table. I appreciate this. It never feels intrusive. The food is good. Last time I was there, I didn't think it was as good as previous times, but it's still solid food. The menu changes, and the one online is never the one you get in the restaurant, but that doesn't bother me. They have a huge wine and cocktail list. Anything with gin is good. But, tell them what you're used to when it comes to drinks. They do experimental stuff, but they'll find something that fits your tastes.

A hidden gem in Woodley Park. New Heights has awesome food although I'm never really impressed with the desserts which lean towards molecular gastronomy. I love the Gin Joint Bar downstairs. Nicole, the bartender, is simply amazing and creates custom drinks with her own housemade, infused tonics. I like to go and treat it like a speakeasy. With her knowledge of gins and all spirits, I always have a new cocktail to try and experience a new flavor combination.

A little pricey but the crabcakes and fried cauliflower were excellent.

Get the Gin flight. Great ambience. Great service. Everything was just great. I hope you enjoy this place as much as we did. I also recommend going upstairs unless it's a nice night to dine on the sidewalk.

Attractive place one block from a Metro station and near two major convention hotels. Trendy "new American" cuisine very nicely prepared and gracefully served. Very accommodating of food allergies. Lots of appetizers and entrees dairy and egg-free.
