November 9, 2018Signage outside was misleading, made me think the place was closed. Interesting layout and decor inside. Open kitchen format. Food was good but everything was slightly under-seasoned. The meal was a collection of ingredients that had been assembled, had heat applied to them, but still was missing a sense of cohesion—unity and interplay of flavors. It was pretty decent but for the price of a set meal, you might be better off at Jeju or o:n .

September 25, 2018When my friend first said we were going to eat here, I thought it was a joke because I've never heard of NONONO so it sounds funny. Glad I was introduced because it actually turned out to be a great experience. The restaurant has a great vibe to it and unique look that sets it apart.I got the Shoyu Chintan which turned out to be really good. I wanted something that had both meat and carbs and it came with 2 pieces each of chicken and pork, which was pretty generous for $15. I also tried the Crunchy Nori Tacos, which didn't look like tacos but tasted great. The pieces of fish were big and the tacos itself were much bigger than we expected so that was a pleasant surprise. Definitely a good first impression and I plan on coming back in the future to try the other dishes. The dishes are generally quite small and relatively expensive, so I'd say it's key to share with someone so that way you guys can try a bit of everything and still get full.

September 14, 2018Decent food, nice atmosphere. Portions are a little small and the drinks are straightforward, but overall a solid meal and great ambiance.

September 12, 2018My friend recommended this place. And it turned out to be a really good one! Tasty skewers. Love the knee cartilage and shiitake. Good service.

August 22, 2018YESYESYES! Everyone needs to experience this restaurant! We’ve been here a few times and still love it - which is rare in NYC. This time we started with vegetable carpaccio, chicken crackling, and anchovy edamame. All delicious! Then we moved on to our favorite chicken oyster, knee cartilage, hearts, wings, miso tofu. The beef tongue was the only thing that wasn’t perfect - it’s a little hard and can use more flavor. And the green tea ice cream? Amazing. The house sake was not as dry as I like it but during happy hour its cheaper than a boba tea so no compliant there. I really hope this place stays the same in the future!

July 17, 2018Really good Japanese skewers restaurant. Got a bit lucky that it wasn't completely booked when I walked in with a few friends. All of their beef and chicken skewers were great. Ordered their fried rice as well and wasn't disappointed. Noticed there was a DJ set up on the first floor that makes me think they run it as a night club/bar after restaurant hours, but I could be wrong.

June 8, 2018Delicious bites perfect sharing. Lots of varieties to choose off the menu. A few great cocktails, wines and spirits to complement your meal. Can be an inexpensive date choice if you're selective but be careful as it can add up quickly.

April 17, 2018Thoroughly impressed with the food here. I was blown away with their chawanmushi (I added the extra topping, worth it!). We also loved the mushroom and scallop, the skewers, the tofu with nori and avacado (better than it looks!) And their black sesame Penna Cotta. I would not recommend the fried rice since it was average. The service was friendly and professional. It was so good that my husband and I already want to come back during this trip. Highly recommend reservations. This place gets packed!

March 26, 2018The food and drinks are incredible and the service was friendly. The only caveat is the portions are extremely small while the prices are really high. Don't expect to get full here at a good price, but for a special evening out this is a good option.
