Striving to be the best breakfast restaurant in Covington, Mattina Bella is so named because it means “beautiful morning”. Mattina Bella is the quintessential neighborhood breakfast spot - one of the quaint little “gems” that are getting harder to find. Breakfast is on the menu, from fast-food to grocery stores to gas stations. “Grab ‘n Go” is the marketing mantra that most use to describe their offerings. The other end of the spectrum is the high-end brunch spot with its trendy offerings along with its exotic price tags. Mattina Bella reflects more of the disappearing genre of the neighborhood breakfast spot. Mattina Bella endeavors to be the place that consistently serves the best food, breakfast or lunch. Menu includes all the great traditional breakfast plates as well as some indulgent brunch choices. It serves weekday lunch specials and a selection of Italian entrees. It is also the weekend place for families. Children can enjoy pancakes while they can enjoy something special!

October 4, 2018Cute quaint place, service was lacking. Ordered crab Benedict, with eggs poached over medium, got plain bennie. Sent back cause I really wanted the crab. This time the eggs were barely cooked. Need to do better.... it wasn't even crowded

August 20, 2018I have been eating here for years. Always delicious. I have always gone on Saturday or Sunday mornings. There is typically a small wait just like every other good breakfast establishment in the Northshore. I enjoy the Blue Crab Benedict, and the omelette with crabmeat. A nice place to take visitors from out of town because the food is consistently delicious.

August 2, 2018We absolutely love this place. My personal favorite is the chicken parmesan with the meatballs to follow (I love their pasta!), but the brunch is always my husband’s favorite. The atmosphere has a sweet and comfortable feeling to it and we love the staff. A must!

April 10, 2018Wanted a brunch type experience and got it. Ate the lump crabmeat omelette (hollandaise sauce) with sour dough toast and grits. Perfect. My partner ate the blue crab eggs Benedict. Actually, we shared and all cooked to perfection. Coffee was good and service was great! Enjoyable experience after a “festive†morning.

September 8, 2017Today's visit was really great. Waiting time was reasonable, actually short. Seating had plenty of room for a group of six. The food was well prepared and very tasty. Lastly, the service was much better than average and pleasant.
