Matterhorn Restaurant

The restaurant is beautiful with every part of it authentically Swiss! Ranging from the artwork on the entrance door, its wood construction, a gondola booth, various artifacts displayed throughout, to the model train display on the balcony representing areas of Switzerland. The onion soup and the chocolate fondue were the stars of our delicious meal. Staff were friendly, patient with questions, and prompt with service.

Great feel, good food and good serving sizes. Gives you a good flavour of Switzerland and the Swiss owner is great to chat to.

Kind staff, delightful menu! The Lambrusco is excellent, and they work with specific farms for the cheese. Huge fan, will be back!

My wife and I look for a Swiss restaurant in every city we visit, with nothing but disappointment (or mediocrity) to be found... until this one. This took us right back to Switzerland! The interior is both beautiful and spotlessly clean, the service was flawless, and the food was amazing! The menu here is very small but very authentic, and the restaurant is better for it. We shared one serving of raclette for appetizer and then shared a two-person serving of Emmental fondue, and left feeling almost disgustingly full. A wonderful place, and one we'll certainly return to next time we're in SF!

One of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had in SF. Service was amazing. We came with a group of 18 people and were promptly served and taken care of.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and would especially recommend for groups wanting a shared authentic experience.I have spent a lot of time working and living in Switzerland and can say that this is the most authentic fondue restaurant I have had outside the country.

The update keeps all the good things from the old incarnation while subtracting unnecessary stuff and adding good new features.

Reminiscent of dinner in a Swiss village! Incredible fondue, charcuterie, raclette, wine, and service. Reopened with new owners who are passionate and showcase their love of Swiss cuisine and top notch baking. This place is the real deal and worth the trip!

Very cute restaurant with lots of decor that will remind you of Swiss! I got Moitie Moitie cheese fondue (served with homemade bread and yummy potatoes), veal, and onion soup. Both veal and onion soup were great, but the fondue was too alcohol-heavy for me. I also highly recommend s’more fondue!

We had a great time here! Some of the friendliest service I have received at a restaurant; everyone was very attentive. The food was all delicious (we tried both the cheese and beef fondue, as well as a portion of raclette). Great ambiance, family-friendly but also a cute and interactive date night spot. Thank you to the Matterhorn team for a lovely experience. Will definitely be back!
