Always great for lunch or dinner. Try a meal at the bar. Bar staff always on point.

Great food and outstanding customer service. I love the rustic ambience of this place. The prices are very reasonable and the salad bar is always so fresh. The Log Jam Restaurant takes pride both in the beauty of the Adirondacks and in providing you with superb food and accommodating hospitality in an authentic log cabin. If it weren’t for the aromas of sizzling steaks, you just might think you walked into an Adirondack logging camp of 100 years ago. A pot-belly stove warmly greets you at the front door, wood plank floors stretch beneath your feet, pine logs cut from the mountains above Lake George surround you, and three massive stone fireplaces provide the perfect romantic setting.

Had a chance to try a new menu item - the peach brie pork. And, IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! The pieces are nice sized, thick & juicy. The sauce & cheese was just right. I got the mashed potatoes and salad bar - soooooo good!! Jordan (the manager) & his team are pleasant, busy & give super service. The place is rustic and definitely family oriented. Go try this out and be sure take some home. You won't be disappointed.

Every time we visit Lake George, we eat lunch at the Log Jam. $8 gets you the salad and soup combo..... The salad bar isn't very big, but everything on it is fresh and delicious. It also includes several kinds of fresh baked breads to choose from. The soups change daily. My favorites are the Creamy Tomato and the Stuffed Pepper. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is very friendly.

Good value. There are small servings for many dishes that when combined with the included salad bar was more than enough to eat. Atmosphere was like an old tavern. So a bit out of the ordinary, but interesting.

With not too many restaurants around the shopping area this one always stands out for me. Great variety, love the Adirondack theme, and I always get the teriyaki steak

The Log Jam is right out of middle America circa 1975. Good burgers, bread and rolls, good roast beef sandwich. I bet the steaks are good. The daily special came out with no garnish, no veg. just a piece of fish and a scoop of rice. Plate looked sad. This is why Americans don't like seafood. Halibut was broiled over cooked, dry and crumbly. Zero spice might be ok for some, but a little butter or garlic would have gone a long way. Salad bar was iceburg lettuce with a a few veggies, three kinds of potato salad, and jello salad? Not bad, just OK. Nice setting, cool building, good service and atmosphere.

We were seated right away and the wait staff was on top of their game. Entrees arrived in a suitable time as to allow us to enjoy the appetizers. The prime rib was off the hook good. Overall cost was reasonable for the quality of good and service. We will definitely be back.

I can't speak on the entrees because I had the salad bar. We were in a rush and wanted quality food and that's exactly what we got. The ambiance is warm and inviting and the staff match it. They had at least 5 different choices of fresh breads included in the salad bar. We went on a Tuesday night and only one side of the salad bar was open (I heard sometimes there are two sides) but the selection was well varied. The salad bar was also notably clean which seems difficult in a buffet style.

I have never had a bad experience here. The salad bar is the absolute best. The Log Jam just has that nice warm and cozy vibe. Prices are fairly reasonable and the staff is always attentive. I definitely have to visit each time I'm back in town!
