My group rented Sea Kayaks for a day and had a truly amazing time. The staff are personable, friendly and very knowledgeable about where to go and what there is to see on your trip. The gear was clean and in great shape and they provided everything we needed to stay safe and have fun! The prices are great and I would 100% recommend them to anyone wanting to experience everything Whittier has to offer. Thank you Lazy Otter Charters! This company was amazing.The skies were clear and the tour was so much fun. Nice heated boat! Great views. The couple really knows their stuff, since they live here and raised their kids here. They had fresh hot coffee and tea and snacks, and even brought us some freshly baked cookies. Delicious! An experience of a lifetime. For a boat tour in Alaska in the wintertime, this was quite the experience. They were so welcoming and kind. Intelligent and fun tour guides!

It has been a couple of months since I did a boat tour with Lazy Otter but let me say that it was my favorite part of the trip! The crew of the boat were informative, and friendly and were very personable. The food was pretty standard. They made sure to help us see as many animals as we could, and took us up close to fjords and glaciers we were especially interested in seeing as a geology class. It was an incredible experience and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to see more aquatic Alaskan fauna.

We used the Lazy Otter for a water taxi and kayak rental place for a 5 day trip. Everything was organized and done smoothly, great kayaks, plenty of extra gear if we didn't bring something, an all around great experience. Thanks Captain Mike, Kelly and Dillon!

I can’t say enough good things about this your company. Booking was easy; check in was very smooth. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We spent hours on a small boat in search of all the wildlife we could pack in—and we were not disappointed. Ryan, our captain, knew the Sound well and knew exactly where to go. He even spotted a breaching whale from at least 5 miles off. He was also flexible, sculpting the trip to what the group preferred to see. Our day was spectacular. I was concerned the ride could be rough, but it was marvelously smooth. The boat was clean and well equipped. The food was plenty adequate and the fresh baked cookies thrilled everyone. Hot beverages on a chilly day were a welcomed treat. I would absolutely choose this charter company over the huge boat tours.

Amazing site seeing your! The curly head deck hand Dylan was so friendly and made the trip extra fun. Had to swing by the shop and get an espresso and ice cream.

Rode In Lazy Otter’s 36’ landing craft round trip from Whittier to a Hatchery in North PWS. Had about 350 pounds of gear that was handled and loaded with care and respect. Left on time and Captain Stacy got us there quickly and safely. Two days later she picked me up on time and got me and my dog safely back to Whittier. I was impressed with Lazy Otter’s vessel and their personal. Will definitely sail with Lazy Otter again!
