La Placita Cafe

Flavors are absolutely perfect here. Definitely one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants. Highly recommend!

We have been coming to La Placita for years and it is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant. I've never gone wrong with a thing on the menu. Right now I'm into the grilled fish tacos with cabbage, or tortilla soup and a bean tostada, or a shrimp tapopo salad. What I like most about this place is that you don't feel like a minivan after you've finished. That, and the food's really good.

First I want to say the staff is excellent! As for the food and the previous reviews... the meal at La Placita was average at best, too bad I was so looking forward to a great Mexican meal based on the reviews that I read. On to the next Mexican restaurant in Tucson...

Awesome food and service

Great food and service!

The location is nice, food was good. I had the chilli relleno, cheese enchilada and taco combination plate. It came with beans and rice too. I'm just not a fan of American yellow cheese over everything, maybe use of some queso fresco would be good. The relleno and taco were tasty, freshly fried up! The waitress was very nice, but they seemed under staffed as service took longer than expected (and she was the only one working the floor). One of the best Mexican food restaurants in Tucson. They have a great menu and the food is always fresh and well prepared. Not too greasy and not too salty. Highly recommended.

Didnt know this place existed. Good food. Lunch specials could have been a little cheaper.

Really good chips and salsa, fish tacos....a lil pricey.
