Took 8 months to get an appointment. Turns out it's because there's only one doctor in a particular department. Best part: she doesn't speak English.A month later, I get 4 different multi-thosand dollar bills for this 5 minute 'visit'...I feel like I was hit on the head and robbed.

I love this hospital, from the way it looks to after care via outpatient. I have had several stays to my dismay on the one hand, but Harborview always makes it okay. The food is great, the cafeteria delightful, and the after care groups are not to be missed. From the Spirituality Group to Tea Group. A real treat!

Abusive and rude staff. Left worse off than i came in. Wasn't given ANY information on medication i was told to take even though i requested it. No side effects warnings no nothing. Multiple nurses coughing, complaining of illness, leaving early but still handling patients. Beyond unsanitary! Unless you are dying go somewhere else.Another VERY concerning thing, a homeless and ir addicted man asked to use the restroom, the nurses talked to him like a small child and forced him to urinate in a plastic pitcher in the ER in front of everyone. Was disgusting. No curtain, no one walking him 25 feet to a restroom, just piss right here with everyone including families with kids here. Like that's totally cool.

I don’t like writing reviews, but I felt like this was necessary. I went to the ER, i walked in out real quick. I felt like staff treated me well, left there taken care of. The next day I call the financial department, I had called to get financial help bc Im not insured. When I call I was answered by a rude receptionist/nurse. Her name was VALERIE. I was answered with a terrible attitude like she didn’t even want to help, she scolded at me to speak up when I was speaking perfectly-I was shocked. I thought she was having a bad day so I try to brush it off. I kindly ask to speak to someone else and instead of HELPING because that’s why I’m calling, she hangs up on me without saying anything. There wasn’t nothing said if someone was going to attend me, I felt like I got no help. No need to work other people if you’re going to be unprofessional and nasty.

I was here almost two years ago. Was airlifted from crystal mountain. I got into a very very bad accident. And thought that was the end for me. But when I got here they all immediately took the best care of me the staff in the intensive care was outstanding and in the trauma ward as well. Everyone was always so supportive and sweet and went above and beyond at any point or time. Just blew me away! And even before that I came in with my daughter years before she had gotten badly burned and they were just incredible with her and they helped me so so much. This place is so amazing. I would easily drive out of way to come here for just about anything.

They don't show enough stars for me to rate the wonderful care they gave my wife during her surgery and recovery at Harborview Medical Center. I am unable to say enough nice things about the place. This praise also goes to the other facilities under the U of W umbrella as I call it. Harborview, U of W Medical Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Fred Hutchinson Research Center, and Children's Hospital are all fantastic care facilities. With all my heart I thank you for the care you have given my family members.

I only went to the emergency room to visit a friend after he was shot by a carjacker. Nice staff. They took great care of my friend. Easy parking and clean facilities overall. I definitely can’t say the same about many people that were setting in the lobby.

In July of last year on the 7th I wrecked my Harley-Davidson running to the back of a car at 55 miles an hour it was stopped. I slammed the back of it and shattered my spine from T2 to C2. They put me on the table rebuild my spine. They kept me alive and six months later I'm up walking on a walker because the surgery in the care that they showed me. Everybody needs to know this is a great hospital with a great staff.

I like the park areas near the hospital. Places to walk or sit. Good views. Hospital has a nice gift shop. I know it's strange but I do find mushrooms and toadstools around the area near the hospital while walking. The big white mushroom is Boletus Barrowsii and edible species I'm told. Bring any to University of Washington Botany department before eating anything or you can end up in a hospital.
