Description

The Porterhouse Brewing Co. at Fraunces Tavern, is located in one of the city's most historic landmarks in the downtown Financial District. The Porterhouse offers a large range of small batch and specialty beers, serving traditional American food with a strong Irish influence. Fraunces Tavern has been a part of our city's history since 1762. Now under new management, you can expect a modern experience in an authentic historical space while enjoying great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

I like to consider myself a bit of a history nerd, particularly when it comes to the American Revolution. When the opportunity presents itself to eat at the very same tavern where George Washington gave his farewell address to his officers after the war, how c ...

This has to be one of the coolest spots I've ever drank in. You walk in and feel transported to American Revolutionary times, in fact George Washington had several meetings in this establishment! I honestly can't rave about this place enough, from the lighting ...
