El Chapultepec Mexican Restaurant

I was a regular, but after today I won't be back. We arrived 10:27 PM on a Saturday night. One of the owners opened the door and stated that they closed, and that they close at 10. I told her that I come there all of the time and that they don't close until 11 on Saturdays. I even pulled up their hours of operation and showed her and she closed the door in my face!

If you like terrible food, to argue and be confronted by waitstaff, then this is your place. I ordered tacos Al Carbone plainly, I asked the waiter if he was sure they offered the dish and he agreed twice. I received steak tacos with no onions and cheese, the two other components of Al Carbone. After I asked for onions and cheese, the waiter brought raw onions and a cheese dip. When the check came I had been charged five dollars over for what should’ve been actually cooked with the meat. That being the cheese and onions. The waiter argued with me as if it was a game show. The argument was confrontational for all of the restaurant goers to see.Regarding the food, my top shelf margarita was poured from a bucket that looked like a dirty mop bucket. It was brown. The picture of my food speaks for itself.

Decent enough food but very poor service and attention to guest.

Service was good margarita was excellent . The food was not . I ordered a plate with a taco and it tasted like peanut butter

Nice entertainment while you wait for your food. By the way, the food good! A great variety of dishes and drinks.

It was edible, but the vegetables were obviously frozen and the beans tasted like they came from a can. The burritos were served in a plate full of water. Also, the margaritas came out of 5 gallon buckets sitting on the bar and tasted like a syrupy commercial mix of some sort. It's sad that standards for decent good/drinks are so low.

Favorite chips and salsa between all Mexican restaurants, home made tortilla chips, bean burrito and enchiladas are pretty good, waitress are so nice and care givers, not fancy restaurant but the treat an food is good

We enjoy the great menu and the comfortable atmosphere. We will be returning regularly.

We go here for the mariachi band that plays on Tuesdays and Fridays. Our kids love it. The service is slow and the food is so so.
