Cheese Haven

Staff is always helpful and well informed. It gets extremely busy in there and people are obnoxious! The line was fairly long but they opened up extra cash registers to accommodate the masses. Max of 4 minutes in line, if that. Courteous, quick and I got exactly what I was looking for!

This place is wonderful! Not only cheese, but so much local merchandise! Beef jerky, local honey, odd ball sodas, huge candy area (that you can buy by the pound, along with retro candy) and a very wide selection of local wines ( the largest in the area). The CHEESE is so good and you can sample! Worth the experience! Addition: I forgot to mention the coffee. This is a pretty good blend. Does help with the waking up!

Wide selection of cheese. Prices were a little high but not much more than Amish country in Holmes county Ohio. They also had beef jerky, expanded variety of specialty sodas, a decent size candy area and a section of local wines. Nice place to stop in if you are passing through.

Interesting shop. Lots of great cheese spreads to try. A good place to pick up the put in bay wines on your way out, rather than drag them around the island/ferry all day.

Now open everyday. A great landmark worthy of a stop just to browse. We've enjoyed a stop here for 50 years or more.Great selection of cheeses, beverages, sweets, and smoked fish and meats.I miss arguing with the late patriarch, RIP.

Only the best place in the entire world to get any kind of cheese you want!!! Like I'm serious, the best!!!

We were visiting the area for a wedding and decided to stay a couple more days to check out the local sites. We were driving past Cheese Haven and we just had to stop. There were samples all over the place, and not crappy samples either. The cheese spreads were probably the best. We ended up buying a couple cheese spreads, just from the samples we tried. There were all kinds of meats and wines as well. The cashier was friendly as well. My only real complaint was the prices were a little high on just about everything.

Have always enjoyed stopping by whenever we’re up at the lake. From cheeses and candies to meat sticks and more, it’s quite an experience. Looking forward to seeing them again this coming June!

The best selection of amazing cheeses around. If you like hot - this is the place to go. They have everything from hot pepper cheese to "only to be handled with gloves on" Carolina Reaper extract. Also, a very nice candy selection for those who may not be cheese obsessed like me.
