Absolutely loved this place! Will be going back. We tried The Experience and so glad we did. We ended up trying all but 2 things on the menu for $35 a person. Everything was delicious. The fried brussel sprouts and salmon were my favorites. Our waiter Wade was awesome. He's knew the menu and was able to make recommendations based off what we liked, and has a wonderful sense of humor. If you haven't checked this place out yet, you really need to.

In a word, Cafe Josie is amazing! With 13 small plates to choose from, I think we tried everything - crudo, Brussels sprouts in a balsamic vinaigrette, fried oysters, short ribs, meatloaf, salmon, shrimp, and I can’t remember them all. The flavors all worked together and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. We went with another couple to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we will be going back very soon. Highly recommend

Absolutely loved everything we tried! Excellent presentation and very flavorful and our server Mary was very pleasant. I am already looking forward to going back.

My wife and I came here for date night. We both had The Experience which was amazing. We tried 9 different dishes and loved all of them, but the pork belly, the brussel sprouts and the deviled eggs really stood out for us. We normally love pork belly anyways, but the smell of the grill infused into the cauliflower confit provided this amazing balance to the pork belly. I normally dislike eating brussel sprouts, but they roasted and seasoned these perfectly that I had two extra helpings. Service was great and very attentive, bringing out the dishes as we were finishing other dishes so that we neither felt impatient nor rushed. Over all it was a great evening, and if we had the opportunity to, we'd come back again.

Really outstanding small plates. Lots of flavor in everything we ate. The roasted Brussell sprouts and wedge salad were perfect. We did the "Experience" and were absolutely stuffed afterwards. The mixed drinks were also expertly crafted.

Great spot to celebrate our honeymoon. Wayne was an excellent server and the best dish was the fried brussel sprouts! 4 stars because they were out of the cocktail I wanted a lot of the dishes had smoked aspects which isn’t my favorite. Everything else was great!

Amazing service and amazing food. Highly recommend getting the set menu and asking for drink pairing.

Brought 9 people to celebrate my wife's birthday. She and I had been to Cafe Josie before for dinner and brunch, but that was before the "experience". A total small plate tasting menu which was served family style because of our group size. After all the plates came our waiter asked us if we wanted a recap of anything....can eat as long as you want and what you want from the tasting menu....it was fabulous and a unique experience in dining/Austin. Our waiter explained everything, was quite good natured and made some great suggestions of pairings. Exceptional in every way...

Our boss took us here for a small little Christmas party. We put our white elephant gifts under the tree it was super cute. The experience was truly an amazing experience. We got to go through the whole menu and order some of our favorites after. They had great drinks too! Unforgettable experience!!!

There's a lot of things in life that I truly appreciate and one of them is great food. Cafe Josie has the most talented chefs in Austin. The food is unique, always served fresh, and the atmosphere makes for the perfect date night!
