I came here on a date. The first thing that's worth mentioning is they don't crowd the place. I appreciate that because these days you can sometimes feel like just a number when you go out to eat. Apparently this place has been here for years, which also speaks volumes. It features "cave-like" booths which are excellent for privacy and intimacy. I had a serious conversation with my date about life and our backgrounds and it was a great place for such a conversation. We just got dessert but the server was attentive and helpful, nonetheless. The decor is an excellent conversation-starter.

Definitely worth going to. It's a very unique dining experience. The ambiance is reminiscent of a high end restaurant, but with a menu consisting of various spruced up cafe foods. Very reasonably priced for the experience. Would definitely reccomend.

Very unusual interior and 'soundtrack' (a good description would be 'trippy' in a good sense). The outdoor seating area reminds of a Japanese bamboo garden. The prices of coffee drinks ($6) and some desserts are a bit high, while pizza etc are reasonable. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Great place for a date night. The ambience and the food was great. My wife and I had nachos and mushroom lasagna pizza and it was delicious. Definitely recommend this place.

Ambience unique, candle light between the caves, staff, food, quality, quantity- perfect. The food was very well prepared and served great. I was happy to always share and recommend this place to the ppl who wants to go on a date. Even the outside seating between the woods n trees is great. Rare place in New Jersey.

This place is so cool! I love unique finds like this. When we went we did not know how busy it would be but after half hour we got a table in the dark cave part. We really just got dessert and enjoyed it. I think the atmosphere really made our visit awesome. They do get super busy though. Get their early.

This place came highly recommended and I was so excited to try it for the first time. My fiance had one of the burgers which was very good, the bread sticks were so yummy and when it came time for dessert I couldn't wait. I had heard wonderful things about the dessert here. I got the dark desire and I was sadly disappointed, the cake was so dry and crumbly. The middle was a bit moist but probably from being heated up. My fiance got the tiramisu and it was amazing though, so so good. We will be going back again but I will definitely be wary of the desserts with chocolate cake.

Was with a bunch of friends and wanted to go to a nearby cafe. We found Cafe Archetypus. When we first arrived to I thought we were entering some secret club. Once we entered my friends were astonished by the interior decor. The staff was quick to seat us in the “cave”The waitress was very helpful and even suggested to try new add ons to the menu. The hot chocolate was phenomenal and delicious. But let’s talk about the dessert. The chocolate sundae was amazing. It wasn’t too chocolaty. The Caramel Apple Walnut (hot apple pie and caramel) was by far the best dessert I have had in a while
