โGreat little place. It's BYOB, with a reasonable corkage fee so be warned, but the food more than makes up for it.I had the BBQ shrimp, chicken fried steak and mac n cheese. I have to mention first the chicken fried steak because it was one of the best I've ever had; the batter was awesome. I got the gravy on the side and basically didn't touch it the chicken was so moist and delicious. The mac n cheese were very tasty too, and the BBQ shrimp were great. They are greasy (as BBQ shrimp in New Orleans should be) and you have to peel them, but very tasty. The bathroom was spotless as well, which is a definite +++++Great experience. Can't wait to go back.โ

โWas in town last week and found this spot, food was great had mini tacos and a baleada... but somewhat pricey. I like to budget and ask for water instead but here u get a bottle water so you pay for water.overall it was great! Staff was friendly!โ

โChicken was Good! Workers weโre pleasant but the macaroni was dry and the corn was brown on a Friday for 12pm lunch. Like they had been serving the same macs and corn all week. Tried to post a pic but I was unsuccessfulโ

โI had lunch at El Libre today with my brother. He had the Vegetarian Bowl which is rice, black beans, corn and I believe a bit of avocado. I had the Cubano pressed sandwich, which is sliced pork shoulder, along with a side of sweet plantains. The food was very good. The is a small, plastic table cloth, hole in the wall with a very limited menu. As I recall there were two main dishes, along with a handful of sandwiches and another handful of sides. However, the food was delicious and I highly recommend it.It was a little disconcerting, because I showed up at 11:45 and there were no customers inside. This is quite unusual for a New Orleans lunch place. Maybe we just hit a slow day / time? Anyway, my lunch was less than $12, hardly more than massed produced fast food. Well worth it.They also have a full bar, but since it was the middle of the work day, we did not try that.โ

โHands down the best coffee in town in terms of flavor and originality. If you enjoy coffee like you do good wine, this is the place for you. For vegan/dairy free friends : they make their almond milk homemade with dates and its DELICIOUS (1$ extra but worth it!). Definitely on the pricier side but you pay for high quality and always kind service.โ

โCame to this place because it open late and close at 2AM. This part of town looks really dangerous and unsafe. I see a herd of giant rodents running outside the place made me lost my appetite. Also they got a bunch of weirdos hanging around here. Not coming here late because I have kids. Only good thing is the staff are pretty coolโ

โIce cold A/C and great no-nonsense bartenders. Music is always great and they'll take requests. I can't remember the last time I I've paid any sort of cover charge and they're open 24/7.โ
โThe best grilled octapus I ever had โ
โFood was delicious! We were staying at the hotel and decided to enjoy a few drinks our first day. We had such a great experience, we decided to have brunch there the second day. We were not disappointed. Not only was the food great but the costumer service is outstanding. Best shrimp and grits weโve ever had! Will definitely be coming again when in town.โ
โI came here for my birthday and it was amazing. I felt so special. The breakfast buffet is worth every penny and everything can be made to order. There was so much food available that I was conflicted on what to get. I need to go back and try some things I was too full to eat. The bacon was perfect. I hate undercooked bacon. I like it crunchy but not burnt and M Bistro has it down to perfection.โ
