“It's so delicious. There was fast, efficient, and courteous service. This place has a great atmosphere. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.”

“Walked in, and walked right back out. The only person working didn't have a mask on, and picked up a pair of disposable gloves with unwashed hands...had his unsanitized hands touching the outside. No thanks. Went over to the other long-standing bakery in the village; they had masks on.”

“This is a different location than my regular purchases. It's to me, exactly what you you expect from fried chicken. I enjoy their recipe.”

“Small mom and pop set up. I was greeted by a Latina who gave some food suggestions, then took my order. She impressively repeated the Vietnamese dish (bún rieu ốc, or the crab escargot dumpling noodle dish, without unions) in a flawless accent. Also ordered 2 banh mi to go (combo and shredded chicken). Unfortunately chef still garnished onions on top. Broth for bun rieu was oddly more sweet than savory. Crab dumplings were lacking and no escargots in the crab escargot dumpling dish! (Latina explained later it was because i had asked for no onion which the escargot were bathed in; shouldn't i have been informed from the get go?)The Latina came by apologetically after i mentioned the presence of onions (removed them myself rather than let them fish through the broth in the kitchen) and dropped off pickled chili peppers and a jar of shrimp paste, again offering the latter in fluent Viet accent (mắm ruốc). Sandwiches were decent. At checkout, price listed on wall wasn't what was rung up either for bun rieu. Again, i had to ask about that discrepancy. A+ for effort, B- overall for taste, C- for lack of communication. Unlikely to return.”

“There are always exquisite pastries to explore in this store. The quality of the pastries are outstanding. The Cranberry Walnut Bread is crusty on the outside and dense on the inside, almost like a bagel. It has a slight natural sweetness to it. The bread is so delicious every time you take a bite of cranberry or walnuts, you get a little tart sweetness or a nutty taste as well. Strongly recommended.”

“As my partner was eating their quiche Florentine they bit down on a bug. A bug that was baked into the quiche. Will never return to this location which is unfortunate bc it's nearby our home.”

“Slightly disappointing for a Michelin Star venue. Food beautifully cooked but nothing inspirational - very traditional cooked to perfection. Bar service good. Restaurant service....we were not priority customers and frequently kept waiting - our waiter and waitress were busy while another 4 stood watching! Perhaps our expectations were too high.”

“Closest deserts to those in France that I have found in all of Houston, these deserts are as French as the Eiffel Tower. Would recommend to anyone looking for truly French deserts.”
